바론 랑테인은 디지털 기술의 물질성과 잠재력을 드러낸다. 그의 작업은 가상 세계에 대한 우리의 경험과 그로 인해 발생하는 마찰을 중심으로 전개되며, 가상 공간에서 우리가 어떻게 상호작용하고, 그로 인해 현실과의 경계가 어떻게 흐려지는지를 탐구한다.
그의 연구의 흔적들은 조각적인 스크린 포털로 나타난다. 이 포털들은 서로 연결된 가상세계로 동시에 열리면서 디지털과 물리적 세계의 상호 작용을 새로운 방식으로 제시한다. 이러한 과정에서 디지털 기술의 본질적인 특성과 그 한계를 드러내며 관객에게 가상과 현실의 경계를 재고하게 한다.
